Penguin Books had plans to grow. As part of those plans they wanted to move from their Wairau Road building into new design-built commercial premises. But what to do with their existing building – and a nine year lease?

We were able to help on both fronts. We purchased the existing building (in effect taking over the lease) and designed and built new premises that suited Penguin perfectly.

The Wairau Road building was sold on to Mitre 10 NZ Ltd and became the company’s new national headquarters. Penguin’s new purpose-built premises were in turn sold to publicly-listed Property for Industry, complete with a very happy tenant.
